Living in new england I am all to familiar with what happened in Boston, and I am just as appalled by what happened as I am by no one resisting it, or seemingly being upset about it.
What I am really interested is in these last two “Lock downs” in DC, what exactly were people told to do and not do. What did they do?
“It’s a cheap way to deal with the situation,” an angry Park Service ranger in Washington says of the harassment. “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”
might’ve slowed their response - this is DC speak to cover ones ass!
Members of the Capitol Police union, speaking with the News4 I-Team, said the older model radios might’ve slowed their response and performance during this week’s fatal incident outside the Hart Senate Office Building.
I know we were having radio problems for a while a few years back. We had dead spots all over the town had issues with transmissions etc. That is pretty much worked out thankfully.

Not really sure as the tech guys worked on it for several months thinking they had it fixed only to find more problems. The technical side of the radios is beyond me. Just know they are working right now.

If I was a betting man giving 1000-1 odds, those officers are furloughed (meaning NO pay). The question for Lt. Schneider: is there such a thing as leave during a shutdown? I don’t believe there is and if they are furloughed (1000-1 odds) for doing their job, oh what a travesty. For sure she is speaking with forked tongue.
“We have two officers that are not on the street at the moment,” U.S. Capitol Police spokeswoman Lt. Kimberly Schneider said. “They are in a duty status with accordance to our policies.”
Which if true makes me absolutely livid pi**ed since its how many years after 9/11, how many billions of dollars spent for the sake of national security and in the U.S. CAPTIAL of all places comms take a dive? really? I mean really??
This is all a farce. Everyone is looking for a plausible excuse justifying this DPF situation. The communication snafu is sonething the uninformed will buy, especially when beaten too death by a biased media.
Any person with military exp. or with half a brain in law enforcement knows that the first thing to fail during a crisis is communications. Especially hand held units.
WASHINGTON — First they called her a terrorist threat.
When she turned out to be an unarmed suburban mother, they said she was on drugs.
Now, WND has exclusively learned, without a trace of doubt, that was wrong, too.
WND can also now report Miriam Carey was shot in the back of the head by U.S. Capitol Police officers and uniformed Secret Service agents six months ago, on Oct. 3, 2013.
The official police investigation still has not been released. But Carey family attorney Eric Sanders obtained the toxicology and autopsy report on this macabre anniversary.
The report showed there were no drugs in Carey’s system, prescription or otherwise, when she was shot dead.
The report was prepared by Dr. Nikki Mourtzinos of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
