Anyone watch it? If not, here it be. Mostly a self congratulatory summary, some likley true/accurate, some not so much. Par for the course for any POTUS speech. He could cure cancer, some portion of the nation would complain he put so many in the cancer industry out of work, that much I’m still confident about. As far as “winning in Iran” I’m unclear winning what exactly. I’m open to discussion on the topic, have not developed a hard position on that topic. We were always going to have a conflict with them, but other than a change in government in Iran, what does winning look like? Only part I thought was interesting was the voter fraud/manipulation info. Is it legit/relevant to the outcome? I don’t know.
I find most of his speeches boring.
IMO, he has totally F’d up the Iran deal.
Now Iran is encouraging the Houthis to close their little strait. The Houthis should have been history years ago.
Voted for Trump 3 times. Be glad when he’s gone and hope Marco runs and wins.
I watch it on YouTube so I can FF through the tripe. I find these things go on far too long and are rather boring.
I think a lot of people are confused about the Guy. He doesn’t want to go “All In”, he’s given the IRGC and Iranian Politicans all the time in the World to capitulate. He’s taking it in a slow gradual of engagements that has allowed cooler heads to prevail.
Any other actions would have been condemed by other Arabs in the region as too drastic and harsh on the Iranian Citizens. This way has been almost a Patriarcal scolding and spanking of a small Child.
The IRGC is putting up a hell of a fight, “Yeah, they are fighting to the last bullet because they will be tried and Hung when this is over.” They are Crimminals and they know the punishment for their crimes is execution.
So the pounding will be maintained until the IRGC either die, give up or haul ass.
I can almost guarentee that if we know the Houti’s are going somewhere, there is a US Navy SEAL time loading magazines and sharpening knives while they wait for the Houti’s to get there.
I like what Trump has accomplished so far. He needs to double down domestically
I don’t care how they do it but 2020 can never be allowed to happen again. We are still trying to dig out from under 20+ million unwanted Third World flotsam as well as the ram-it-down-your-throat (pun intended) LGBTQRXYZ bullshit. Don’t forget the Carter-style pussy view other countries had of us. The fraud in 2020, under the cover of COVID, was allowed to happen with the “Establishment” (mostly Demscum) to rid themselves of Trump. I recall that cvnt Pelosi saying in March of 2020 (8 months before the election mind you) that “Because of the pandemic we might have to go to all mail-in voting”. Those cocksuckers knew exactly what they were going to do and it was “allowed” to happen. To my dying day I will NEVER be convinced that FJB should have legitimately been inaugurated in January of 2021.
Having said all that, I will give credit to the Republicans in 2024: they put out a massive legal effort nationwide on Election Day, with “problem” areas getting a little more attention. Lawyers out the wazoo filing lawsuits as soon as they smelled a rat. Tit for tat, since that’s what the Demscum do. It worked when some of their shenanigans surfaced that day and evening. The commie’s attempt at cheating was mostly thwarted.
As a reminder, the Houthis were first designated as terrorists by the US during the Trump admin in their final days Jan 2021. The incoming Biden administration immediately removed the Houthis from the terrorist list.
I doubt there’s many here who know much or even heard of the Houthis before Trump designated them terrorists in 2021. The only prior mention I could find on this entire website was in 2019 when someone said they maybe launched some type of torpedo and if they did Iran would have stopped them, then suggested the Saudis may have been involved. So…
As far as election integrity, what president has put more emphasis on protecting your vote from being cancelled by fraud and those with no right to vote in US elections?
Your reply ( As far as election integrity…) to my comment makes it appear as though I spoke of his “accomplishments” or lack thereof. I spoke only to what I typically think of his long-winded speeches and the fact the Houthis are still around despite the fact he’s had close to 6 years to null and void them.
I’ve been reading about politics for about 50 years and someone said somethiong to me about how different the Political Parties are acting now.
They were right, the Parties are Different. The Democrats were more radical and had Socialistic Themes and programs. The Republicans were more subdued, conservative and their programs seemed more capitalistic BUT there was no loud debate, no one was accused of tearing down the Constitution, no one was shooting at the POTUS.
No one complained about elections being rigged.
Because they were a UniParty, they were working all of this out behind closed doors and phony elections they had a simple political agreement not to rock the Boat.
And then Trump came along and suddenly there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats again.
We were being duped by Car Salesmen turn Politicans running a political scam on all of us while enriching themselves. That seems to have Changed
Trump’s primetime speech was only 26min, covering economic issues, border and immigration, social issues, tax policy, prescrition drug policy, children’s savings accounts, foreign policy and a wide array of election issues including foreign interference and government corruption. Seemed more like a lightening round of issues in the first half, second half dedicated mostly to the later items mentioned. Short speech by most any measure.
Anytime you give a Politican unlimited time to speak, He will use all of it.
Averageman, 2026.
