I’m pretty happy with my Springfield Armory M1A with a Leupold 3.5-10x on it but, I’m really an AR guy. I’m considering the Troy MCS. Is everyone happy with it? Or should I just leave therifle alone as is. Has anyone has accuracy changes? It’s just pretty steep and it is impossible to get my hands on one. Thanks for the help.
In a word - yes in my opinion. The accuracy improvements alone were worth it. It does add a bit of weight to the rifle, but not enough to make it unwieldy - at least for me. The M1A/M14 rifle is heavier than most battle rifles anyway. It also solves any issues with mounting optics - keeping them inline with the barrel, stock, staying mounted during field-stripping and adds a perfect cheek weld. Add to that the ability to adapt nearly anything that can be used on a AR-15/M-16 and you then transform the aging M1A/M14 into a true platform. I find it to be more serviceable than the SAGE and more adaptable to the individual shooter. Yes, it’s expensive - but what it brings to the rifle make the expense worth it…

I’m VERY happy with mine and it was cheaper than buying a new AR-style .308. I really like the full length top rail/quad raid convenience and ability to use many AR components. 
Do you like having your scope that high?

If you register with Brownells I believe that you can get i for 580.00-ish dollars.
I’m still debating it but I’m not a fan of low mounted scopes.
