Trijicon HDs on Colt CCG (or other Novak cut Colt)

As the title says. Anyone have any experience installing Trijicon HDs in their Novak cut Colt 1911? Was fitting required? How have they held up? Any issues or comments?

My Talo CCG really doesn’t get shot much and I think a big reason why is the factory sights, which are kind of meh. I have HDs on my VP9 and G42 and I think common sights on all of my pistols would be a good idea.

I’ve got a set on a Novak built 1911. I installed them myself and they required very minor fitting. They are holding up great, my favorite brand of night sights.

Good to hear, thanks for the reply.

I considered them but they sit awkwardly high on 1911s. Just an appearance thing but I couldn’t do that to the beauty of the platform. No experience function-wise.

How much taller are they than the 10-8s? I ask that because they do sit flusher with the top of the slide profile so maybe their taller appearance wise.

I wish trijicon would sell the HD front separately
