So I went by a local gun store to check out some stuff and to enter the contest for the free Vicker’s class when I couldn’t help but notice they had one of the Silver SR-15s on the wall. This is almost exactly how I came about purchasing my first SR about 2 weeks ago.
The price was very right and I think I may be able to get them to go lower. Due to my current economical situation I have a fair amount of funds just hanging out. I have plenty of ammo and mags so no need to suggest those instead. I’m waiting for a class that is close enough to home and fits my schedule to attend so that’s out of the way.
My question to you guys is if you had this opportunity to purchase 1 of only 100 guns made by Knight’s but you just bought one of the same guns a few weeks ago would you buy it?
Also, since it is somewhat of a collectors item what would your roll be for it? Front line AR? Never Fired Safe Queen Collectors Item? Run it right along the first SR?
My opinion is if it makes your tummy feel warm and fuzzy, pull the proverbial trigger. However, If I was in your position I’d invest otherwise. Maybe there’s a pricey pistol that you’ve been eyeballing or, how about a build to fill a currently open role? Heck, how about some NFA investments…those are always fun!
Either way, I can’t tell you how much I’d hate to be in your shoes right now. Tough dilemma. :haha:
Yeah. If I just went on warm and fuzzy feeling alone there would be no more SR-15s left in this city. I’m really happy with the few pistols I have one I carry one full size for HD winter carry. I am getting into the NFA world with my first suppressor purchase. And I want to do a little more research before getting into SBRs (which I definitely will) because I want to do it right. Thanks for the tips. It is a unique situation to be in for sure.
