I have noticed over the last few years of owning the Magpul ACS stock that the friction lock has gotten lose. It almost makes no difference when I apply the friction lock as there is some wobble in the stock. When I first got it, the stock was absolutely rock solid, but I guess after lots of use and shooting its loosened itself.
Anyone know how to tighten the friction lock back up?
Mine has had a descent amount of wobble since day one with or without the friction on. Kind of annoying messing with the gun but inconsequential at the gun club. I love the stock for long range.
I tightened up my CTR by removing the locking lever and bending the metal ‘ears’ in a little bit. I’m guessing the ACS can be tightened up the same way but it looks like the roll pin for the lever is partially covered by the side compartments, I’m not sure if they can be removed…
The battery tubes on the ACS are permanently mounted and cannot be removed without damaging the stock. Please contact our customer service department and we will take care of you.
