Great information. Two interesting suggestions were never ration water and adding bleach to stored tap water.

Auhor:
The author was the Royal Navy’s Chief Survival Instructor and has spent 30 some years teaching survival skills to all branches of the military including SF. He also spent 3 years at the US Navy SERE School as the Chief Instructor.
My Thoughts:
The book provides a good and comprehensive introduction to the novice student, hopefully encouraging further learning and practice. For the advanced student it gives an excellent refreher of previously learnt information and also points at some new skills that may not have been encountered previously.
Overall:
Well worth $30.00.

I’ve recently finished reading “The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes and Why” by Amanda Ripley and I am wondering if there are any other books that would be worth reading on the subject of training yourself to combat the effects of immobility and brain fog during an extreme situation.
I’ve searched for books written by specwar members about combating brain fog but haven’t really located any.
I am mainly looking for exercises and training regimes to help my mind stay lucid during an attack or extreme situation. Recently after finding a few suggestions online, I’ve taught myself to juggle, and learned an additional language, all of which have been proven to help the brain remain cognitive under stress.
