Lets use this thread as a place to post good deals, and cool stuff, you find as you surf around the internet. I don’t want to turn this into a thread that posts the standard email listings we all get, but I think you guys and gals know what I mean. Posting a generic sale on PMAGs is weak sauce. Posting a going out of business sale with PMAGs being $4 each would be legit. Surplus military deals are always awesome, so are cool electronics or other things. I might not have an immediate need for a demil 81mm mortar, but it would still be cool to find them being sold.
Hopefully this makes sense. This thread certainly isn’t only related to firearms, if it is a great price, or just super cool, post up a link and tell us about it.
For me, and perhaps for a lot of other people, here is what I consider a cool and interesting find. It is the 67 throws of Judo show in animated GIF. Since I have done mixed martial arts for decades, it makes this find all the more interesting to me and my nephews.
Challenge accepted stick. And unfortunately from the same place as your upper since CDNN hasn’t come back with the older Adventureline 20rders.
Colt 20 round Usgi mags. For $12 they are good, I actually find them to be better than the Brownells 20rders that I have. I know others will be upset, but it is what it is. Besides, they be Colt!
Next, an interesting buy for the guys who are looking for, perhaps, something a little retro, used USGI Colt mags, with green followers. For that proper clone they might be interesting. Just grabbed a set for myself since, I have nothing better to do tonight and after a long week I figure I deserve some random stuff.
I am in full agreement on 20s, the curved ones look, just wrong. And even while I have almost 30 old 20rders with metal followers, I do like picking up more.
As far as the 30s, I am surprised they moved as fast as they did. I will check the ones I have coming to see what the dates on them are. Though, with them coming from LE, I have the feeling they won’t meet AWB for states that need them. But, we shall see, and I will update when I get my order.
Anyway, in the spirit of the thread. MORE MAGS!!! In this case Ak mags, Hungarian 20 rounders. Not exactly cheap, but alas, a bit harder to find.
Interesting find: Haven’t done a purchase from 'em, but 1-800-Guns and Ammo has a little thing in their rewards program where each review of a product they stock, limited to one review a week, gets enough points for a $10 store-credit kickback.
$10 to take twenty minutes to a half-hour and barf out a paragraph or two? A bit below my usual hourly rate, but at least it doesn’t have the Gibbs-Slap Bait I have to deal with putting normal Billable Hours on the board. Keep at it long enough and maybe I’ll have enough banked for a free ACO… lol
Well, $10 a week… better than nothing, though. The rub is that while they price-match, they seem to be hit-n-miss on selection (ALG triggers for AK’s but not AR’s, for example) and their base prices seem pretty close to MSRP.
Trying to decide whether to blow my piled-up $100 in free stuff knocking down the price on that Lasermax rifle kit I’ve been looking at, or burn it on the ACO, then roll the 1-point-per-dollar kickback (100 pts = $10 off, so the Aimpoint would yield about $30 back) plus some more review-farming into the laser.
OTOH, I have a range-ready pistol/other-firearm-not-SBR whatever-it-is-depending-on-OAL (Do I measure to muzzle crown, or tip of un-pinned brake?) as soon as the URG gets back from the smith’s shop, so the folder to make it Briefcase Ready and the optic are just luxuries anyway–and for learning the ins and outs I’m thinking it might be better to start with iron sights only, then add laser and RDS later.
EDIT: if anyone checks these guys out and wants to give a “hat tip,” my referral link is http://i.refs.cc/ov8iWvDx--full disclosure, I do get a rewards-point kickback worth about $7.50 for each person who uses my referral link, if you’re feeling less generous the direct link is www.1800gunsandammo.com.
