The BrinkZone Hybrid Program

My latest for those looking to change up their program:

Looking for a change in your program? Perhaps something “non-traditional” that will see new progress in your body composition?

The BrinkZone Hybrid Program is a modified concurrent training system, that blends different aspects of strength, hypertrophy oriented training, and conditioning work, by modulating loads, volume, and rest periods, as well as incorporating targeted sprint interval training (SIT) work.

This program seeks to get the best of all worlds, hence a hybrid approach to increasing LBM, strength, and general fitness and an improvement in body composition.

Each day covers recommended exercises, loads, rest periods, and other essential information to reap the optimal effects, as well as discussing de loading periods, as well as active rest days.

It’s holiday time, so as of tomorrow, for 42 hours, program is .99. :muscle:

Grabbed it, Will. Looking forward to reading it after I wrap up a couple other purchases.

Great, let me know what type of experience and results you get after 10-12 weeks of using it.

Picked it up as well. I even bought it vs just adding it to my KU library so I can keep it around and not accidentally “turn it in”.

I am busy as hell relocating back to our AZ house from UT. Haven’t even hit the gym in the last 2 weeks. Once I get settled I will read and give the program a go. I’ve been thinking about changing it up from my current PPL program anyway. Might be just what I need.

Will update (and add a review) once I have had a chance to try it out.

Sounds like a plan. I look forward to hearing what your experience is. Taking time off between programs as a de load period is usually beneficial.

I’ve been reading up on how concurrent training programs balance strength and conditioning work, and this hybrid approach sounds like an interesting way to structure that balance. I’m curious how the program decides when to shift emphasis between the two sides.

A long overdue check in for me. I did d try the program. Damn. It kicked my butt. 2 weeks was all I could take at the prescribed effort. I was damn near puking after the heavy cardio. I had to back off, tried that for another week. Decided to go back to a PPL split and work up to the cardio. I’ll try again in a while, once I have some stamina built up.

What can I say. I’m not worthy.

ETA: FWIW, I literally couldn’t eat enough during the weeks I tried it. I was stuffing food in and I couldn’t maintain my weight. Gonna have to work on eating better too.

If you have not done legit HIIT and SIT type efforts, it will kick your a$$. Obviously you should work up to that over time as needed.
