Thank You Grip Force Adapter!

Those who know me well understand my displeasure with Glocks. They have not fit my hand and would religiously provide me with a bloody reminder of each range session in the form of slide bite. On duty I have no alternative to carrying a Glock and so I have forced myself to master them while at the same time cursing them.

Enter Grip Force Adapters. I never would have imagined one simple $30 device could make such a difference! I am no longer concerned about developing an involuntary flinch response to the weapons that may used to protect myself or others. The adapter also helps with the grip angle that I never liked and makes the weapon feel more natural for a shooter who was raised on 1911’s, Hi-Powers, and Sigs.

In fact I recently bought two new G17’s because I can now enjoy the family of weapons. You’ll notice in the family photo that the 27 doesn’t have a GFA. The baby Glocks have been the only ones that do not bite and fit my hand well (I believe because of the higher curve on the backstrap). My close friends were astounded that I bought 2 new Glocks.

I have no affiliation with the company - just wanted to share for the others who may suffer as I have.

Thanks to Rob_s for helping install the 10-8 sights.

I love them too, and for the same reason. The ONLY thing I didn’t like about Glock is the bloody railroad tracks they leave on my hand. GFA fixed that, and now I’m 100% happy with my Glocks.

Totally agree!
I prefer the smooth version…

Bill

They had the new smooth one included with my recent order. Felt great but it’s shorter and doesn’t give me the same grip angle feel. Better than stock, but not the full length adapter for me.

Blitz that shit out, knob!

Lol! I’m good with the ridges for now. Maybe one day I’ll give that a try. Yours looks really good. Did you start with a dremel or something?

Yeah, Dremmel, then sandpaper, then masking tape, then finger.

I agree the GFA is an awesome product for preventing slide bite. I get slide bite on 9/40 fullsize framed Glocks. The only issue I’ve almost had with it is the plastic trigger group pin almost walked out on me during a class. Maybe I cut it to much IDK I just didn’t want to feel the pins driving into my hands. Has anyone had this happen to them for the record it’s a Gen 4 G17.

What did you do to the front of the grip on the baby Glock?

Did a search and this was the newest thread so I decided to post this here. Called Grip Force today and when I got the voice mail I just hung up and decided to call or email. While getting ready for work, saw a missed call from Grip Force. Called back and spoke with FRANK who was very nice and professional and answered my question completely. After getting to work, I ordered the WRONG adapter for a GEN 4 and not GEN 3. Called Frank again, (this is at 1943 CST) and he answered and fixed my screw up.
Just wanted to say GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE at Grip Force and thanks again Frank.

Wait…What? I thought all the Glock owners on M4C thought the grip angle was perfection, shooting nirvana, and that everyone who had an issue with the grip didn’t know jack, and you just had to ‘learn’ how to shoot it. Now folks are altering the grip with the GripForce, because (wait for it), you don’t like the grip and this device makes it more comfortable??? The horror!!!

this is funny, sounds like something i would say.

Thats great, I thought I was just messed up. Nobody gets train tracked by a glock, they told me. Grip force my be the solution.
Thanks for the post

If this device would have been out back in the day when I owned a G23 (for over a decade), I probably wouldn’t have traded it in (and all my other pistols at the time) for the M&P line.

I have only played with a GF Adapter that I just pressed on and it felt good. I have just recenly got a G17 and since I only have 19’s. I thought this might be a good addition to the gun. I will keep y’all posted when I get it installed. I just wanted let people know what good customer service GFA provided.
The most handgun PERFECTION is the one that you shoot ACCURATE, most of all, and FAST and anything that helps you do this, other than lots of trigger time, should be fair. Ofcourse this is something that most of the M4C’ers have reinforced may times over and I appreciate the information I have gleaned from here.

+1 on grip Force, their customer service is excellent.

While initially a bit skeptical, I have added Grip Force Adaptors (http://gripforceproducts.com) to my Glocks and am truly impressed by the benefits they offer, as noted by others above.

As a long time 1911 shooter, when I press out a stock Glock, particularly the G17/G22, I typically find the front sight sitting too high and have to consciously cock my wrist down. The GFA slightly changes the Glock grip angle, resulting in a perfect natural sight alignment when I press the pistol out. The GFA beavertail helps to ensure a more positive grip when aggressively drawing the pistol. It also provides more leverage which seems to help control the pistol during recoil on fast shot strings. The timer indicates I am having both a faster draw and quicker splits when I use a GFA equipped Glock. The web of my shooting hand occasionally gets bitten by a stock Glock slide–especially during high round count training sessions; the GFA beavertail seems to eliminate this possibility.

Installation is quite simple and takes about 60 seconds if done without mods. I have modified all my GFA’s. On the G17, I reduce the ridges on the underside of the beavertail using a Dremel tool. With the G19, using the 1st gen GFA, I do the same ridge reduction, but also cut the grip portion in half. All the 3rd gen Glocks I use have been stippled, so the GFA’s on those pistols also got stippled.

I like the new 2nd gen GFA’s for G19’s–esp on RTF2’s. For G17’s I like the slightly longer extension down the grip of the 1st gen, however the smooth beavertail and closer fit to grip of the 2nd gen are very appealing.

Note: With all my GFA’s of both generations, I reduce the ridges on the underside of the GFA where it fits against the pistol backstrap so the device fits more flush against the grip.

Yep. This one little piece allows the same results for me as it has for Doc. Jason Falla was using one at the last class I took from him and handling his pistol has resulted in me to consider a Glock again.

So here is my update and a couple of pics. The GFA is very comfortable and lets me put a little less finger in the trigger guard. It was easy to install and goes good with the stippleing one the guys I work with is doing. I would reccommend the GFA if this is any issue you are having with good grip placement. It works for ME.
And, as I said before, customer service was exceptional.

What happened to this?
