Does anyone know if the TAG molle padded belt can be used with a two inch webbing drop holster without modification?
Thanks for any help.

Unless they have redesigned it in the last couple years, the answer is no. Of course you can just loop the webbing around the belt, but that isn’t what you’re asking. Holsters like a 6004 will require you to modify it.
Zushwa, have you used the TAG belt? I was going to get one, but wouldn’t mind some first hand experience with them before I pull the trigger.
I’ve used one. Its just not stiff enough to run a drop leg holster on. I looped the hoslter over the whole belt and the thing just collapsed. Its pretty soft foam on the inside so it dosent hold its shape at all.
Do you think it would still be good enough for a few m4 mag pouches and posibly a pistol in a holster that rid further up? Right now I just wanted one for holding mags, but thought that it might be nice to abe able to add pouches for lights and maybe a pistol in the future.
Do you plan on using some kind of MOLLE holster or a belt holster?
I gave up on all the MOLLE belt stuff and went to a duty belt type set up and use the belt pad if I need it.
To be honest, I don’t know. I just wanted the belt right now for holding extra mags and I figured on looking at pistol holsters at a later date if I do. I’m new to this whole molle system and I am trying to find out what would work good without buying a bunch of gear only to find out it doesn’t work.
I highly recommend either the ATS or BFG PALS sleeves with a quality duty belt instead of any of the MOLLE only platforms if you want to use a holster or mount anything more than a few pistol mags.
Why is the BFG padded sleeve triple the price of the ATS?
Last time I’ll derail this thread. Is there any reason I couldn’t just use an ALICE LBE belt with a MOLLE pouch?
I’m issued the TAG molle belt, and ditched it asap. Work recently changed the rules, and now only issued items can be used, so I went down and got issued an Uncle Mikes duty belt, which isn’t much better.
The TAG belt, as mentioned has no support, and you either have to cut the molle straps to run a drop leg strap thru it, run it over the entire belt, or get an adapter, non of which work well. The belt also has problems staying adjusted, you should see the different methods used to keep it tight. I had to run the free running ends of the belt portion back and forth thru the adjusters a few times. Some guys tie them in knots, etc. Some guys have just used it as a pad, and run the UM duty belt thru it.
I used the ATS sleeve with an Eagle duty belt, and ATS suspenders for awhile, which is way better. The duty belt and sleeve Velcro mate up and lock the belt in place. The belt stays the correct size, and the open bottom of the sleeve allows running the holster hanger around the belt, and lock it down with the Velcro.
If you want a molle belt this is a good way to go.
The Eagle belt is also nice, nice lining and a little stiffer then the TAG, but still not quite right.
Some of the guys run all their kit on the belt and leave their armor slick, I like all my stuff on my vest, with the somewhat generic sizing and my shortness, that meant the vest was constantly pushing my belt down, hence the suspenders. it works, but in the end I went with a Spectre duty belt, with just the 6004 on an Eagle platform and a light pouch attached to it. Life was good, to good, so management had to change things, now I’ve hundreds of dollars worth of gear I can’t use:mad:
If your interested I have 2 ATS sleeves and an Eagle molle belt I can make a deal on;)

ETA, the molle pouch will not stay put on an Alice belt. Some pouchs can be used with Alice clips, so it can work with alice gear, but I doubt it would be an ideal set up, especially for mag pouches.
Thanks for help. I hesitated ordering a belt and now I’m glad I did. I guess I’ll keep looking for a setup I need. I might still look at some other belts or this rig specter makes that is carried on a shoulder strap.
