Surefires

I have a 13" trx on my rifle so there is plenty of room. I have a z2 combat light with a vltor mount now. I see the new craze x300 on the front top rail . Anybody with personal expience have any thoughts on this? is it worth it to switch

Thanks, Justin

I think it is worth it. Lighter weight, little barrel shadow and ambidextrous activation w/o having the light blocked by cover depending on which side it is mounted. It is spendy though, but slimmer than the TLR-1 so the X300 won’t interfere with your sight picture.

I had a G2 in a Larue mount, never really liked it (the position), it worked OK though.

Have you checked out the tactical lights forum yet? There’s a wealth of information in there.

I have tried 3 or different light mount/postitions, by far this is my favorite.

Thanks everbody this helped . Nice Rifles

Thanks again. Justin

I’m telling you the last 3-4 days I have been trying to figure out what light setup I want for my new stick, and it’s been driving me crazy with all the options. I like the x300 with the larue mount. the m600 with the offset larue mount, don’t know if I wanna go with a m900 way with the vertical grip . I go to sleep dreaming of what to do and wake up still confused I tell you i have no idea what way to go there all good…

I run this setup. It is “the way” to go.

with that setup is it easy and fast to activate the switch for the x300 with your thumb in fire postion or do you need the xt07 switch… that is my only concern

I’m sure others will agree, it’s very fast without any other parts.
