I take this kind of training seriously, and to see such useless and dangerous techniques being taught is a sin.

Seems to me in most cases that you will encounter the bad guy in front of you, especially when in your house.
Wonder what he is going to do with that pen if I am in front and facing him? Guess he can use it to plug one of the many holes I will put in him.

Indeed. What’s interesting/sad is that this is on “Expert” Village and they appear to be teaching these techniques at an actual school. Somebody somewhere is actually paying money for this nonsense. But how would the average consumer or potential student know any better? In their eyes this is an official, stone-and-mortar establishment, most likely with all sorts of certificates on the walls, and other indicators that the people running the place know what they’re doing. :mad:

That’s frankly the issue with a lot of the information that is floating around out there…which is why sites like M4C are so important.

Then once he’s disarmed the guy and taken possession of the AR15, he says, and I quote, “The pen, I don’t need that anymore, I’ve got his gun.”
So wtf do you do when the disarmed guy picks up your pen and kills you with it?

Well, I have thought martial arts for many years. I have won numerous medals including state and national medals.
Having said that, I will greet any intruder into my home with either a pistol, rifle or shotgun.
If there one thing I know, it’s:

You should see some of the BS we have to teach at the LE Academy! There are time where I literally leave the room and take a break because I refuse to be seen endorsing some of that crap!
i dont understand the pen… if you do actually find yourself somehow able to sneak up behind a guy in a silent house there’s much better ways to address the situation. trying to stab someone in the neck in a situation like that, with a plastic fuckin pen that could just as easily break and stab YOU in the hand, is probably similar to shooting a 3-pointer when you’re all jacked up and scared shitless. you MIGHT hit your mark- probably miss and end up with a lame glancing blow that serves only to let him know you’re there.
a straight hard jab to the back of the neck with your fist would probably be more effective anyway. personally, i’d go straight for control of the weapon, biting, kicking, and/or punching where appropriate… but that main thing is get that weapon, and get the muzzle pointed at un-alive shit.
First of all, it’s retarded. Second, if you did happen to successfully stab the attacker, wouldn’t the pen be covered in blood and become very slippery?
I have heard a LE firearms instructor, who has an extensive Martial Arts background, speak of “Tactical Pistol Shooting” as the “American Marital Art”.
He would answer his door with a 9mm in hand, a bump in the night with a 870.

Stupid training such as the pen technique displayed in the original post borders on being criminal. Those of us with just a little time and or experience can joke about how stupid it is. But for those people without any prior training and experience, who are spending their money and time thinking they are receiving training that could be life saving, I feel sorry for them.
It makes perfect sense because holding a weapon makes you automatically knowledgeable in how to use it. Right? :rolleyes:
