What is everyone seeing out there on the streets? My local FFL has stripped Bushmaster lowers on the shelf for $249. Is this a buy?
About $70 over standard price of $180. Considering the current frenzy, its not totally unreasonable. Your call.
Striped STAG arms is only running around 110$ and in my personal opnion it is a better product.
Recently I paid $180 out the door for a stripped LAR receiver. It pissed me off as the same receiver a year ago was probably $70 cheaper but it is what it is.
Locally they sell for around $150-170, but are out of stock very quickly.
There are lowers to be had for cheaper.
Hell…for $250 if you’re willing to wait a month or so you can get billet.
Keep an eye on your favorite sites that don’t jack the prices on their lowers. It pays to wait, any possible AWB is still waaaaaay over the horizon so it’s dumb to pay more than normal. Try Rainier arms, they’re great.
I went to a gunstore in IN last week, they had a big stack of RRA lowers for $189 ea. No-window Black Pmags for $20.
DPMS for $135, S&W for $185 here in middle TN.
Ordered four POF 415’s in October. Got them two weeks ago for $215 each. Lowers are in middle Tn area for $175-200.

I almost wonder if this is the new price level. I know demand has increased, but like fuel surcharges and sugh that are still in place, I think the manufacturers are going to just try to let it ride. If they think that the market will dissappear, they might as well get while the gettin’ good.
As for a new AWB, I don’t think that there is any chance in the next 12 months at the minimum. But markets are crowds, and crowds are only as smart as their dumbest member. Who knows what people will pay going forward as the internet stirs people up that the ban is always looming in the piece of legislature.
Someone is still selling them for the old price. But like you said they are gone before they are even received.

I just backordered another CMMG lower WITH LPK INSTALLED from AimSurplus for $208 shipped. I think their pricing on stripped lowers was around $129 shipped. They had another brand upper for $89 I believe. Aim is a great company to do business with, great prices, especially on ammo.
I saw 3 or 4 Sun Devil Billets at Pistol Parlour in Mesa yesterday. $179 each. Even though it’s probably not critical, I prefer the superior strength of Forged.
Sun Devil has that Receiver tensioning system in it. I don’t want any Gay nonsense in my lowers.
Just picked up a stripped Rock River from my Firearms dealer for $189.00 and he had these on order for about six months ago before the run on AR-15 Lowers and rifles about two weeks ago. My dealer advised their was an initial run firearms handguns included right after the election. But in the past two weeks their was a hard run on AR’s in Maryland and he sold out all his AR’s and has another hundred on order that are already spoken for. They are checking on LMT’s and LWRC’s piston models SBR’s for me.
