Streamlight Protac Rail Mount Compatibility

We’ve had people asking us quite a bit if the new Streamlight Protac Rail Mount lights work with our Scout mounts. They do. The Streamlight bodies have the same lug shape and hole locations as Surefire. This also means they leave quite a bit of material that causes clearance problems, but unfortunately the Streamlight bodies aren’t compatible with Scout heads and tailcaps.

They seem pretty decent for a budget, Chinese made light. Beam profile is similar to the Malkoff E1T and Surefire M300C.

One caveat: the 2 cell Protac Rail Mount is a bit difficult to use with our inline mounts because Streamlight made the rear of the body longer, and it partially obscures the forward-most mounting screw. You’ll have to use a ball-tipped allen key, or go with our offset scout mount instead.

What are you calling “chinese made”? The LED’s, bodies, or the entire light?

If you look at the fact sheet on the Streamlight site it says “Made in China.”
