A good friend of mine & M4C member JC_ wanted me to post a heads up for his stolen Nighthawk / Vickers Tactical serial number 0025. His shop was broken into Christmas night between 11p.m. - 4a.m. They stole a complete safe containing petty cash, the handgun, and five WC mags.
He asks that everybody keep a lookout for it, especially anybody living in Indiana.
Va_Dinger, thanks for posting this for me here and in the other forums.
To say I hate a theif is an understatement. I am sure you all feel the same way.
There is more to the story that I will share shortly - after an internal investigation by the local Police is complete. No, one of them did not steal it. I think.
Yeah, I have made a few calls. I know most every shop owner around here and the pistol is not exactly run of the mill… probably in the hands of some crack dealer… if they ever got the safe open and I would guess that they did…
The next towns over as well, alot of dopers will go a city or two away to offload the loot. Of course, counting on the pawnshop not questioning why the person drove 50 miles from their home to pawn the item(s)
See if the local agency is set up with their pawn unit linked up with the other surrounding agencies.
JC,
Had a 1911 as well as over $5k of stuff stolen from my home about four months ago. They caught the butt pirate, but he had already dumped most of the stuff to include the pistol. I hope to get it back one day before some “yout” does something stupid with it.
Anyway, I hope they catch this a$$clown and you get to give him a .45 caliber enema.
Is there more info you can share as to why you think it might be found in Indiana? Do you think the thief lives here or is going to sell it here? Do you have a name of a suspect? I visit a lot of shops, and the Indy 1500 ( http://www.indy1500.com/ ) is this weekend,I’ll be there Sunday. SN# 25 won’t be hard to remember. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

I just got a call from the Police - A routine traffic stop and resulting arrest of a known drug dealer produced my pistol in his vehicle. It is in their custody and the perp asked for a speedy trial, it is scheduled for next week.
Hopefully I will get it back in time for Christmas.
Damn, you were lucky. I hope you get it back in good shape. I had a Kimber Custom Classic and S & W revolver that was my grandfathers stolen several years ago and have never heard anything back from them. I hate theives
