The gun has continued to function 100%!
That is some nice shooting. I picked up a RO this year and have been very happy.
Full size or the mid?
Full size. I radiused the rear sight, swapped out the 2 piece FLGR for a GI GR and plug, and installed a short alum trigger (not in Pic). I also had to radius the thumb safety as it was poor fitting and stuck down below the grip safety. The darn thing is a shooter though.
Great review, and good to hear it has been reliable. Accurate too! Springfield continues to make nice 1911’s. I bought a Milspec in 1993 that I still have and shoot. It has always preformed well, especially for such a basic 1911.
Have had my long beach out a couple times now. Only 150 rounds so far. But has been great with federal 230grn. Love the gun, has a good trigger and is amazingly tight. Slide is really smooth now. I want to change the grips and the sights though. have a 10-8 flat trigger that I was going to install but may go with a short trigger. Love this gun. I would say best 1911 in the price range and a steb above the trp because of the normal bushing barrel and gi guide rod set up.
Coming up on 1K rounds with the last 300 being Speer Gold Dots.
So far it has been 100% reliable.
