-14.5" Noveske stainless steel “Afghan” barrel (RARE “8P” 1/8 twist) M4 feedramps, with pinned gas block/Permanently attached/pinned Surefire MB556K muzzle brake
*NOTE: The barrel on this upper is NOT classified as a SBR, as the total barrel length with the permanently attached Surefire MB556K muzzle brake= 17.20"
-Original (M-16) BCG purchased from Noveske w/the barrel
-LaRue Tactical 11.0 SBRS (Gooseneck) Free float rail. (Chosen to give an extended top rail to mount a Surefire X300 in the 12 o’clock position)
-Rainier Arms (M4) upper receiver
*NO charging handle included
Some facts about this upper: The upper was originally built-up using a LaRue “Stealth” M4 upper receiver. I decided to keep the Stealth receiver for another build, so I replaced it with a brand new Rainier Arms A4 upper. The pin on the gas block was replaced with a roll pin as I absolutely could not get the original pin that was supplied by Noveske with the gas block fully seated. The roll pin is rock solid, and has not drifted one bit. This barrel/BCG has 1100 rounds thru it. I recently ran it thru a 2-day Paul Howe carbine course (700rds) and it ran flawlessly, and has run flawlessly since being originally built. I fired 50rds thru it last week to confirm that it still runs without issue since swapping the receivers. The barrel was sent to ADCO to have the Surefire MB556K pinned/welded ($100 job). When doing rapid fire drills, your sights/optic do not move while firing due to the excellent Surefire brake. I have never done any 100yd accuracy testing because I do not own a magnified optic, and my long range accuracy skills are not the best, but im sure this barrel shoots better than I ever will.[/b]
