I have a few clients that have prepared for this well. All of them are doing their best to relax, not worry to much about something out of their hands, and I’ve happen to have gotten a few thank you’s about the “six months in savings” recommendation that’s always been a part of any advice.
One is only pissed that their getting this time in October. The statement, “why can’t theses SOB’s pull this sh*t in July,” put a smile on the face of everyone in the office.

In violation of the furlough letter that they had to sign (specifically forbids even making an appearance at the workplace)? Wow, interesting. I wonder what agencies are allowing that.
I believe the news reported yesterday said that some of the responders involved in the Capital incident yesterday were working without pay.
I used to work for the NPS. **** no I wouldn’t show up to work for free for that agency.
Nor do I work for free for my current agency…comp time yes when needed…
