Smith and Wessons for 200 clams

AIM has LEO trade-in M&P pistols for 199.95.

At that price could be attractive as a truck gun, a spare, or a loaner.

New mags for it on sale as well for 14.95. AimSurplus, LLC

Very tempted to get one just on principal, but I am pretty well stocked on pistols. At my age I should be culling the herd.

There’s a few great deals out there, but I can’t take on another holster/mag variant. I just added single and double stack 40 cal 1911s to my rotation. I should be consolidating, but I’m foolish.

I’d love to get rid of all the 9mms I have and go all 40 cal, but selling handguns is a pain in the ass.

I was an avid Gun Magazine reader from back in the day and I had a running list of Guns I was going to buy as soon as I got the Money.
As soon as I got the money, I didn’t run out and buy everything on that list, as that list had changed dramaticlly from the ages of 15 to 40.
Your tastes change, technology changes but most of all your wisdom matures.
At this point buying another new auto aint in the cards. Another N Frame Smith, well, ..perhaps.

Must be 1.0 versions. Meh.

I went back and looked at the listing and it does not specifically say, so you may well be correct.

I have heard there were accuracy issues with the Gen 1 versions in 9mm. Did the .40 have these as well? I do not know much about the platform.

You really NEED an N-frame in .45 ACP, because you know, moon clips are cool and .45 is cheaper than .357 and .44.

No.

However, the occasional M&P, even 2.0, can have barrel-fit issue that causes accuracy problems. But it’s pretty obvious from the get-go.

Those 1.0 .40’s are probably fine. Have excellent chamber support, too. I don’t care for the 1.0 trigger & slick frame texture.

weird, i had issues with 5 of the OG m&p’s, not 9mm and 40. The 357 sig was accurate, but it tore it self up.

So, the 1.0 .45’s had accuracy issues?

I had the compact 45, it had issues as well. The few 2.0’s i had, were very accurate. Not saying all were bad, I still have a 1.0 full size 9mm that is VERY accurate, but most seemed to have issue. And i personally had 15 or so of the 1.0’s

You’re referring to accuracy issues?
