Small "imperfection" at low magnification disappears with magnification

I have a Bushnell 6500 Elite 2.5-16 on my bolt gun. At 2.5 there is a small bubble like imperfection (in the pictures below) at 2.5 that disappears around 3-3.5 magnification. There is nothing on the front or rear lenses. Anybody know what this is? Am I screwed?

Are you are talking about the black spot near the bottom line of your crosshair? If so that is your barrel showing up in your FoV. It disappears as the magnification goes up because the focal point changes. Basically you can’t get the scope to focus on something that close as the magnification increases.
