Yeah I think the blast baffle on the Saker sacrifices some performance, but if it really improves durability, it’s an interesting compromise. I’ll also be using it on a DD mk18 10.3", but at first I’m using a Colt 16" barrel. Still can’t find another Saker flash hider anywhere.
The Saker sounds, to me, pretty much like an M4-2K, not that I was expecting anything different. The mount is rock-solid and there is no ping, true to their claims. I love how easy it is to mount/unmount, and yet no sketchy concerns about working loose.
I’ve taken the Saker out the past 3 weekends, and I’m loving this can. On my Colt socom barrel, it has absolutely zero POI shift. Have the scope zeroed without the can, then I mount the can and it’s still perfectly zeroed. It’s difficult to tell any real sound difference between 5.56 cans, but this thing seems quieter from the ejection port compared to an M42K on this same rifle. I continue to be impressed by how solid the lockup is on the mount, and yet how simple it is to mount/unmount. And of course, no ping!
I’m really enjoying the Saker. Great can. Well worth considering along with the other good 5.56 choices. Also from an excellent company that understands how to back their products.
Yall can look at all of the specs on this can. One thing that seems neat (for those who care) is that it is easy to mount in the handguard. I’m not doing mine that way, but see it as something that might matter to some folks and I don’t usually see that listed when reading what folks say about the Saker.
I’ve run this one on a 14.5" and a 10.5" so far.
The design and materials used are impressive. I like the mount and I like the end cap design. The way it can be used on different mounts could be good for a person who already had a bunch of another mount (that the Saker can be adapted for).
I’m building a new 10.5" for this one that will be finished soon.
Anyway, it seems like a good can that’s worth throwing into the mix for anyone still deciding or looking for something new.
Beautiful fitment. I also have a DD mk18 but I’m STILL waiting for Saker flash hiders to become available for separate purchase, as I used the FH that came with the can on my Colt SOCOM barrel. I’ve yet to see how the Saker does on a 10.3" barrel.

I hadn’t been checking Palmetto for the FH, thanks for the heads up. I was waiting on Silencershop, I figured if anyone would have them, they would. I’m ordering one from Palmetto right now.
