SIG Rifle Picture Thread

Let this be the official SIG rifle picture thread.

Here’s an updated pic of the twins:

Took this one today

Here is my desktop back groud at work. It seems to cut down on the usless questions

All that could have been…

That gun is chock full o’ win. Very, very nice rifle.

A damn shame indeed…

Cheers

not a lot of love for sig on this forum but i like mine :smiley:

The 551 above is nice looking. It would be great if it didn’t have proprietary, expensive, rock-in mags. The paint job is nice though. If only you could get that operating system but with a lower that takes AR mags. Oh wait, you can…

It’s driving me nuts, what’s the black thing hinged at the rear of the front sight of that 551/552?

Tritium night sight.

Tritium night sight.

So when that’s up, does POI shift to the tritium dot and that’s why you’d want to have it down in daylight?

Up = tritium
Down = regular sight post

Up = tritium
Down = regular sight post

I gathered, but I also noticed the tritium dot was significantly higher. So what I was asking was:

with the tritium sight down (regular sight post), you sight normally, with the POI just above the sights, but with the tritium sight up, do you put the tritium dot OVER the target (intended POI)?

That’s the only way it makes sense to me to have it be so much taller.

Do you happen to know what the LOP is for that configuration?

Here is my old 556, ended up selling it.

I’ll dig this thread up from the grave. I almost thought there wasn’t a thread for SIG rifles.

My SAN 551-2SP SWAT w/ non-destructive barrel extension:

This picture should help explain. This is from the 551 manual:

There are tritium vials in the rear sight that line up with the flip-up front tritium sight.

I’d like to post pics of my 556R but I had to send it back to Sig a month ago.

The CH was traveling too far back and was peening the receiver.

I thought I’d have a little fun with my 556xi
