My dad and I finally shot our ARs. I did alot of searching and reading on this site before I ordered parts. Although we are still looking for an optical that isn’t an arm and a leg. Everything worked perfectly and was pretty uneventful. I wanted to post up this thanks for all. Thanks!

Take a look at Aimpoint’s ML2 RDS, it is tough as nails (it was, is the militarys’ M68 RDS) and should be found pretty reasonable.
congrats on the new AR. sounds like a really nice build. do you have a BCM middy or CAR?
just a couple things. you will probably want to drop the H3 buffer as soon as possible (unless you are running a SBR). that buffer is way too heavy for a 16" and will wind up causing cycling problems.
second thing, not trying to be an asshole here, but Magpul doesn’t make stripper clips. they do however, make PMags, which are magazines. its not a big deal, but its good to use the proper terms. it shows you know a thing or two about your weapon.
my personal observation has been that the same people who say “clips” usually have terrible trigger and muzzle discipline and have very little idea about gun safety or even the operation of their own weapons. i’m not saying this is the case with you, but using incorrect terminology could lead others to think that is the case and make them a little more weary of you when you’re at the range.
enjoy your new weapon. like i said, sounds like an awesome build. safe shooting. i would also recommend an aimpoint. M2, ML2, C3 and ML3 would all be good options.
i choke on my copenhagen every time i hear someone call a magazine a “clip”
Magazines sorry. It is not a middy. I thought the buffer might be a little to heavy but it seemed to throw the brass just fine with no feed problems. Is this a problem I will start to see later on?
P.S. If I had copenhagen in my mouth, I would choke too.
