Self defense 9mm ammo

I recently bought a hk p30, and was wondering what type of self defense ammo you guys would suggest.

I have some hornady critical defense 135gr ammo that shoots fine, but should I buy some +p defense rounds? The barrel is only 3.85".

The HST 147gr is what I would run. I don’t know about the +P or +P+ as I don’t usually tend to look for it. I run hornady TAP right now just because I bought several boxes of it. Ill switch to the HST when I buy more SD ammo.

Any of the listed rounds will be a good choice. You probably don’t need +P unless you really want it. Just make sure whatever round you select cycles reliably and is accurate in your pistol.
