Securing a gun safe in an apartment?

Any thoughts on how to secure a gun safe in a rented apartment? The place freaks out even about hanging pictures on the wall. So driving a screw through a floorboard would probably be frowned upon.

I don’t remember the brand name anymore but I’ve seen a gun safe that ships in pieces and then is assembled in place.
If you could find something like that and assemble it inside a room (or closet) with a smaller door that it doesn’t ft through, thieves can’t take it out of your apartment without making noise.

That’s Zanotti Armor. I have one and it’s great. I’ve moved the safe twice with just me and another person. There are holes in the bottom so that you can drive screws into the floor. As long as you do it in a carpeted area, I don’t see how they could object. The screw won’t mess up the carpet, but the safe will flatten it out a bit.

Interesting. Makes me want to just weld some pipes onto a safe to make it so that it won’t fit through a door…

I’ll have to look at the apartment again and measure some stuff up.

Secure the safe by buying a German Shepherd.

Why does it need to be “secured”? Is it small and lightweight?
You can use a thin lag bolt through the back into a wall stud. A small hole in drywall can be patched with $3 spackle from ACE, HD, or a Dollar store.
