I noticed when I did a cycle/function check today (on my DDM4) that my PrviPartizan (M855, 62gr) 5.56 ammo came out of the barrel/bolt area with a scratch on the bullet. I am sure pics would help, but I don’t have my camera right now. It shouldn’t be dirty, so any thoughts on what might be causing this? This is cause for alarm right?

Just checked mine. Looks normal. Typically you are ejecting just the casing without the lead. The lead scrapes on the front of the ejection port as it is ejected. I wouldn’t worry.
Thanks. I haven’t shot it for a while, but I hope I didn’t mess something up when I cleaned it after my last range trip.
I wasn’t really sure where to post … oh well. If the Mods feel it should be moved go for it.
i think it’s pretty normal for AR’s to scratch bullets a bit. i assumed it was on the feedramp, but probably even worse when you eject a loaded round.
