I have recently acquired as Colt 6724. (As of this morning :D)
It is a really nice rifle, however, I need to find a better scope mount.
The B-Square mount that came with it is pretty pitiful. The roll pin that is supposed to keep the scope from moving back/forward is larger than the slots in the rails and it won’t fit without modification. (I already scratched my rail trying to get it on) I would really prefer to get a more substantial, higher quality mount, something with cross slots made to the right dimension rather than an oversized roll pin…
Since it is just a varmit/target gun I really don’t need to spend the money on a Larue or and ADM.
What other decent quality mounts are there out there?
Return to zero is not needed. Just something to hold my old Leupold, it is a 1" tube with a 40 mm objective.
I have looked at the Armalite bases, they look fairly good, any other options?
