Sci Fi gadgets you wish you could own

  1. The Tantalus Field from the original Star Trek.

In the episode “Mirror Mirror”, the landing party gets swept into a parallel universe where the Federation is basically evil and the organization is run through assassinations and whatnot. In Kirk’s cabin is a device that locates a person, and with a touch of a button, vaporizes them. I guess it’s good that such a device doesn’t exist, because I would sure have been tempted to use it a few times, like on the guy that shot my brother’s dog for sport.

  1. The ‘Homer’ pistol from Logan’s Run

Basically it fires some kind of explosive pellet that detonates on impact, causing a gaping, flaming hole in the person’s torso. No argument over terminal ballistics with that one.

  1. The phaser from Star Trek

With settings from ‘stun’ to ‘disintegrate’, there’s pretty much no target too big. One character from the old series remarked that it was “Devastating! Why…this could kill millions!”

  1. The landmaster, from Damnation Alley

The movie was a flop, but what a bug out vehicle! The vehicle was designed to be a working prop, and was pretty impressive with minor problems. Triangular wheeled suspension, articulated center section, missile launchers. Not to mention showers and a kitchen. What’s not to like from the ultimate tactical RV?

  1. The Batmobile

Nuff Said

The Pimpcar/Time Machine from Austin Powers: Goldmember, or the Dalorean from Back To The Future.

The machine that Picard always uses to make tea with…

(Not that I want it for tea).

trek transporter, I hate traffic. Maybe a star wars bike speeder or an at-at to clean up the neighborhood.

Trek transporter and time machine. Would like to go back in time to the founding of our nation and meet the founding fathers.

Pulse Rifle from Aliens. Star Trek TNG Tricorder. Light saber.

Yeah, I’d have to go with Lightsaber and Speeder bike.

Rail gun from Eraser.

The Batmobile from the latest movies.

The Trek transporter.

Star Wars Speederbike.

Lightsaber.

A light saber (prefeably Darth Vader’s from Star Wars)
The Millennium Falcon
An ED 209 from Robocop (for home defense :D)

Probably number 1 for me would be the Iron Man suit.

Close second would be a light saber along with some classes from ‘Yoda Tactical’ to properly use it!

Number 3 as others have said Batman’s newest ride, the Tumbler.

How did I forget the Ironman suit? Yeah that would be awesome!

In no specific order:

-The “point of view” gun from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
-Dr. Who’s sonic screwdriver
-Neuralyzer from men In Black

-Proton pack from ghostbusters
-Pretty much every gadget from James Bond

That tech actually exists; just really expensive and dangerous as hell so it never came to market.

The self lacing shoes exist as well; you can actually buy them from Nike; but only 1500 were made, so I bet they are Pricey$$$.

Can’t believe I didn’t think of that. I NEED one of those. Especially if you could aim it at the internet.
