SBR Question Pertaining to Suppressor

Hello,

I currently have a 7.5in 300blk SBR that will soon be getting a YHM ULT .30 Suppressor in the QD version.

I just bought a 10.5in 5.56 Upper yesterday and have a few questions regarding it and using my ULT .30 suppressor on it.

First off will it work?

Yes it will work yhm sells a flash hider that will thread to the can. You get one with the can and then will need to buy the other for the 5.56 here’s the link

YHM only warranties their suppressors down to 10.5" barrels. Says it right there in the manual.

With the 5.56, you can either buy the 5.56 FH/MB, or the LT FH/MB in 1/2-28. The LT version is simply the 5.56 version bored out for a .30 projectile.

I take based off of the picture it looks like the older version but when you look it up by the SKU number I get this http://yhm.net/phantom-5-56-comp-brake-q-d-mount.html Which looks like my current .30 cal muzzle brake but for 556.

Just curious as to where you see that? I’ve never looked any further once I saw what’s in the manual, which doesn’t specify caliber at all:

for the YHM ULT .30 cal can its rated down to 7" 300blk barrel.

Directly from YHM.net:

The ULT’s are full-auto rated (limited) on barrels as short as 8” in .300 BLK and 10.5" on every other caliber. They carry a lifetime warranty. Made with Grade 9 Titanium.

But I wouldn’t worry about the 1/2". You should be fine with either setup.

If you want a brake on the 5.56, you either need YHM-4302-MB or YHM-5M2-QD. If you want a flash hider, you need a YHM-4302 or a YHM-3102. Any of those will work just fine.

Looking for some information regarding your Suppressors. I have a 7.5in 300blk AR and would like to get a YHM Suppressor but noticed the warranty only states as low as 8in barrels. Could I get some more information regarding this matter please.

Coty, You will be fine running any of our .30 cal suppressors on your 7.5" 300blk barrel. We’re in the process of updating our literature to reflect this change. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with. -Kevin
