I am tossing around the idea of building up my rifle savage 300wm not sure exact model to be a long range rifle. Are there longer barrel options out there? I would also like a muzzle brake. How about stock options? Something that looks tactical…if I am going to build it up I want it to look good. Also if price gets any where near what a savage 110BA would cost than I would probably just go that route.
Stock: Manners or McMillan Tactical Stocks; There are others out there, but I like these. They are the higher end stocks.
Muzzle Breaks: I use a SureFire. Painkiller is a good break.
Longer Barrel options? Well… Yes, if you are talking a custom barrel, you can have it cut to what ever length you want. For a 300, I would say 24" or 26". If it were mine, I would go 26".
If all you are wanting to do is add a custom barrel ($280 - $370), Custom Stock ($550 - $650), and a Muzzle Break ($120 - $200) then you would be looking, on the high end, around $1220. Again this is on the high end. Most likely it should be a bit less. If you are going to do all the work your self, great. If not you will have to factor in the cost for a gun smith to help you out.
Get a pre fit pacnor barrel and a stockdale prairy dog stock. What are you going to change the 300 wm into?
