Sarsilmaz K2 .45 ACP ???

Looks like a Turkish copy of the CZ-97.

I’d have concerns over the sustainability of it. Magazines, parts, and how durable it is.

Anyone have one ??
Reading on them it seems to be very decent at 25 yards and reliable.

Seems like an improvement on the 97b, which was a poorly executed design. Might have promise, but I’m betting it will be a little too fat still due to the alloy frame and full double stacked mag. The 97b was a staggered mag of 10rds, and it was pushing the grip size limit.

A little of this…

But more of this…

Maybe Springfield can license it, double the price, and call it the XD2011.

The Turks already make 75s, but their 75s generally follow the dimensions of the Tanfoglios rather than the CZs.

I.E. - the Armalite AR-24 (a Turk 75).

This gun will probably be closer to a .45 Tanfolio or a .45 IWI 'baby desert eagle" than a 97.

Does it have a barrel bushing? THe 97 does. The Tanfoglio/IWI/IMI does not.

BTW - Tanfoglio casts the slide & frame for IWI/IMI but the rest of the work is doen in Israel.

Hi everyone, I just joined up.
my name is Kaz, I was interested in finding a place to post some info on my new gun and my experiences with finding follow up support on it.
when I figure the sight out a little more I will get into more detail, but I wanted to take the edge off anyone wondering about getting one of eaa’s newer offering the sar k2 45.
this handgun is the nicest I have ever fired or even held for that matter, the craftsmanship is superb and it is no where near as hard to find the essentials for it as I thought it would be (my thought:suicide2:), I have already managed two more official mags for it with no pain and could easily relieve anyone frustration in that department if they too have the gun and need more mags. anyway, nice to be a member hope I can help some people with info on the gun, any questions just ask. I have handled/fired/and or owned these and them some; cz spo1 tac, cz spo1 phantom, glock 17, 22, 20, fn five seven, berretta 92 fs, springfield xd40, ruger gp100, and some others I will have to remember, so, those are what I have to compare to. thanks guys.

Hi Kaz. Welcome!

I have a K2 on order. I managed to find a couple mags at a shop down in Fl. but that is all. Who’s your source for them?

When you say the frame is “alloy,” I assume you mean aluminum. Are you sure about this? I’m not finding much on this gun, but things I am seeing are saying all-steel.

Kind of excited about this one. I’ve had good experiences with the guns the Turks make. Not so happy about EAA.

ETA: EAA’s site is saying all-steel.

I found mine on man venture outpost, but there were some other good deals, you wont find them if you search sarsilmaz k2 45 online, but if you google eaa sar k2 45 you will probably be as surprised as I was as they appeared on tons of websites I had already checked, I got mine for 17 dollars each to, which is damn fine. as for alloy, no, it is all steel, the most solidly constructed gun I have ever held.

/Thread.

Thanks Kaz,
I’m finding a ton of sites that say they have the mags in stock but when I call they don’t have jack.
So I went through the list of dealers on the EAA site and that’s how I found the two in Fl.
How about holsters? The buzz is the serpa for the G20 works with it. I don’t have a problem with serpas but I would like to find something IWB. How has your luck been?

hmmmmm, I am surprised they don’t have them when you call, hopefully they get some in stock, I will take a look and pm you if I find some in stock. as far as holsters it seems like anything that will hold a cz 75 spo1 tac will do the trick just fine.I have found a coup
le others, like you said the glock 20 holsters seemed to work.

Sorry, there isn’t any way this abomination could or would replace my Glock 21SF. Really do you want to carry a gun that heavy around all day.

As a play toy, maybe. As a defensive sidearm, no way. Templar said it best.

sorry, but it did replace my glock, by significant margins this is my preferred handgun. it holds one more round, it is smaller, by far more attractive, much more comfortable in my hand, far more accurate. and yes any day of the week I would carry this first. I am 6’9’’ 260 pounds a couple ounces heavier for a much nicer gun is no sweat. if you would rather carry you glock that’s fine, glock is a good gun. but I got rid of mine for this gun. did I mention these are less expensive even? there is no need to call this an abomination. surely there are more than enough 1911 enthusiasts that would sooner call your glock an abomination, surely the glock is more play toy than the k2, havent ran into many all steel super soakers in my day. and if I want a gun that I could defend myself with without firing a shot, that is my business.

Thanks Kaz,

Stand your ground bro. If it works for you that’s all that matters. That’s what it’s all about. “The tool that works best for you”.

All steel equals all rust. I don’t see how a smaller gun is also heavier. I couldn’t find one for under $471.00, I can get a Glock 21SF for under that. The one round thing isn’t a huge factor, but parts and magazine availability is.

But, if it works for you Kudos.

its also all iodized. and who isn’t taking good enough care to prevent rusting anywho. I said it is smaller not lighter. again, as was just said the best tool for the hand its in. if we all wanted the same thing then there wouldn’t be so many gun makers…and the gun world would be a little boring if you ask me. for anyone interested though. I highly recommend this gun. for carry…nightstand…target…whatever your need…it has highest marks with me. thank you big sam, hope I have been some help, I will post if I find any more mags in stock. best of luck, hope you like the gun as much as me…I find myself quite surprised this gun hasn’t become more popular, I was the first in oregon to buy one, the guys at the shop seemed pretty confused to lol. -kaz

I’m sure that the mags, leather and kydex will pop up. There’s are always more mags then there are pistols and seeing that this one only comes with one, I know there are more to be had. If I can’t find a holster online, I can always find a maker here in Ga. that I can take it to.

Sam.

I am looking for magazines. Who were the dealers that had them in stock? if you don’t mind sharing.

I actually spoke with a rep from EAA the other day. I was told that they will be getting a mag shipment in within 60-90 days. I pre-ordered 5 mags. Hopefully this is not a “silence the screams” campaign as these mags and Sars’ US relationships are in constant flux.

This sidearm, though heavy, is one of the finest shooters I have used to put rounds down range. Outstanding control, accurate as hell, but without any extra mags it is a fantastic paper weight.

Contact EAA directly and get your name on the waiting list and cross your fingers. In the meantime I’m looking at a Beretta 92A1 just in case EAAs shipment falls through.
