Ruger factory carbon fiber 10/22

Ruger has brought out a neat combination of parts @ a very good price on this 10/22.

Good trigger(BX 3.5lbs) and overall ergonomics. The weight and handling is a lot like a late 70’s/early 80’s Crosman/Daisy pump air rifle. Screw a can on and the sound is a lot like those too. Everyone who has handled it with a Bushnell TRS25 dot or mini Pentax 3-9 installed has loved it.

I always had trouble with the flat mag release, but this one has ambi paddles along side the front of the trigger guard and works well.

The MOE X22 is a good fit for adults, but a bit too long for most preteens. I would have preferred Mlok slots on the sides instead of the bottom for light mounting. Their hunter stock would get around all of that at the cost of quite a bit of extra weight.

Weather has been too nasty/too dark to sandbag it(and i suck anyway) but accuracy with CCI std. and subsonic seems to be at least on par with regular 10/22 factory barrels.

IMO, worth taking a look at.

$650 MSRP seems like a great price.

I prefer a steel barrel for the weight and had an aluminum Tacsol 10/22 for a while, but that looks like a handy rifle.

It is a stainless steel barrel with a carbon fiber sleeve.

10rds @33 meters with a 9x scope. The one not touching the other 9 using standards was all me and i thunk the 2 outer edge using subs were me too, but it does seem to prefer standards.
