I need to remove a handguard from a Bushmaster .450 Rifle. It looks like it ought to be threaded on, and no big deal to remove. But it TIGHT. Don’t know if there’s an adhesive in there, or what. Anyone know how best to remove it?

what i did when i removed the tubular forend on my 16" .450 BM was first remove the FSB and gas tube, which then that alows you to use a strap wrench to unscrew the tube itself…you need to add some heat to it first though, next just add heat and unscrew the barrel nut. pretty simple. Bushmaster also has the how-to on their website FAQ’s. hope this helps!
