Remington Golden Saber 124+p

I know I ask too many questions about ammo, it is because I can not find my two favorites, the Gold Dot 124+P or the Ranger 127+P+.
Doc GKR I know this is not on your list but what do you think of The Golden Saber 124+P?

Another question is if you could get Gold Dot 147, Ranger 147, Federal HST 147 or Remington Golden Saber 147 which one would you prefer out of the four mentioned here assuming they all shoot and function the same out of my Glock 26.

Also would you say that they are all satisfactory and I don’t need to buy the Cor Bon DPX 115+P at $30 a box over them or should I spend the bucks and get the Cor Bon?

Thanks in advance and thanks for your patience.:o

All of my 9m’s, including a Glock 26 are loaded with the Winchester Ranger-T 147 gr loading. I would not have any issues using the Federal HST 147 loading also.

I personally am not to excited about the 124/125/127 gr +P loadings.

You’ll still get good performance from the 147’s from a G26. I use mostly Rangers but I do like the 147 GS. The wife has these in her G26.
I hear very good things about the DPX but I’m still trying to wrap my mind around a 115gr. bullet. Technology has apparently passed me by.

Thanks Guys but I would have liked to hear from Doc GKR also.

“I personally am not to excited about the 124/125/127 gr +P loadings”

While excited may be too strong a word, I’m rather happy with our 124gr +P Gold Dots as duty ammo, and the 124gr +P and 127gr +P+ Winchester Ranger that we have either issued at one time or that I buy and carry currently.

All are very proven loads with a good record of both reliability and good wound ballistics.

I had to shoot a humongous feral dog with the GS 124 +P once. Good expansion and no overpenetration, for whatever that’s worth. I would say this particular dog was every bit as thick as a human, so maybe there’s some useful comparison there.

I am familiar with Doc’s sticky, the reason I asked the question is because it is almost impossible to get some of my favorite ammo that is on that sticky.

I am happy to say that I went to the gun show today and found 4 boxes of my favorite ammo, The Ranger 127 +P+ (RA9TA) at $33.00 a box which is a very reasonable price for 50 rounds of top quality ammo my carry ammo problems are over.

I noticed ammunitiontogo has all of those 147gr loads in stock right now, but I’d like to try that 127gr Ranger. Hopefully they’ll get some in soon.

The gun shows around here have been woefully inadequate lately. It seems like most of the people are just buying Walmart out and reselling it at the shows. I saw a bunch of Federal FMJ for 9 bucks at wally world and coincidentally there was a lot of it at the show for 15 bucks. Strange how that works…

All my training ammo is Speer Lawman 115 FMJ. I get it at the best possible price of $11.00 a box of 50 at the Seattle Police Range when I buy 10 boxes or more at a time. I am also satisfied with Blazer aluminum ammo as well.
As I said before my second choice is Speer Gold Dot 124 +P but I can not find it any anywhere.
