This might be old but I can’t find these for sale anywhere.
The reason you don’t find a lot on these is because 1. Remington (freedom group) sucks, quality control & poor customer service aside they completely ignored the civilian market & only after years of the government not wanting their junk do they decide to start to market their crap to civilians. 2. I’m guessing Dr. Evil from Austin Powers came up with their pricing because it’s absolutely laughable, even if I was interested im their junk I would have quickly lost interest after seeing their insane MSRPs. 3. I’m pretty sure it’s still not available, perhaps they had a get real moment and realized nobody wants this junk.
I would like to know more about the RGP gun or at least the upper.
I want to say it is a short stroke gun. I can’t recall if it has a long piston/op rod like a FAL or if it has a short piston that is seperate from the op rod like a 416.
Those prices in that article are insane. If the prices were in line with Colt I would get one just to try.

I agree on the price. It is very unrealistic.
Too much for a remington. I’d probably give one a try of the price was right.
I will stick with their shotguns and 700’s (minus that goof ass trigger). $2250 MSRP, means a street price of around $1800’ish. You can get a REAL good set ip oit of the box from DD/BCM/Colt, for several hundred less than that, with a proven track records.
I’ll be getting one of those right after I pick up an R51… In other words NEVER.

The question is why? Remington is high out of their minds. There are better options for way less money.
If any of the master minds at Remington read this, please stop…just stop it. If you really want to be awesome and not be looked at like, like idiots, PRODUCE the ACR, with caliber conversions available, and sell them for $1000… I know with catalogue like yours with $30k sniper rifle kits… $3900 for an RPP er, RGP… Effin please. Did you guys go to HK to develop your price structure?
I’d love to see an ACR that wasn’t produced for the almost Arisoft crowd. But I have a feeling that the Vikings will have a better shot at winning the Superbowl first and that ins’t saying much.

The prices are laugh out loud funny - let’s call them LOLprices. When I see companies doing this, I assume they are focused on selling to institutional buyers (mil, LE, etc.) at inflated prices, but will have to provide some discount off of MSRP, so they set MSRP somewhere out beyond Pluto to preserve a ridiculous final selling price.
If I Google the RGP gun, I can’t find anybody selling it to try and see what the a real price might be.
They are pricing their weapons for the public as if we were paying contract prices.

Kind of a shame. I’d really like to have tried one out, but I’m not that rich. Also had some hope for the bolt guns, but those seem pretty ridiculous in price also.
Side note; I had the original ACR for a while. It wasn’t an AR, but it was kind of cool in its own way, and if Remington Defense would release the ACR V2 for the general public (even without those damn conversion kits that never materialized before) I’d probably still be too tempted to pass it up.
What’s the hope that someone who actually has some decision making power at that company ever bothers to read what the community says about it?
