Rear sight adjustment?

Is there any reason I couldn’t use the front sight adjustment formula to calculate the amount to move a non-adjustable rear sight laterally?
I need to move the POI 1" to the right at 10yds on a G34 with a 7.32 sight radius, the formula comes out that I nudge the rear sight .020 inches.
It seems logical.

Works for me, but that will only move the strike .9836065 inches, not the full inch.

I generally just make a witness mark on both sides with a lead pencil and tap it over or push it over until the mark on the side I’m moving to disappears. The mark on the other side is to reassure me I didn’t move it too far.

If you want to get that precise buy an 05mm mechanical pencil. Or use a caliper. I just trial and err it.

The sight correction formula works well for any iron sight firearm that permits moving a sight in the dovetail. I use the formula on a weekly basis for rifles and handguns.
