I have them for duty. They are ok. The heal can have some hot spots but once they are broken in they are fine. Not sure if its just the sage green ones or the rest but during an FTX I was standing to close to a smoke grenade and it stained them a little orange lol.

I have a pair of the seafoam…I mean green ones too.

I too have a pair of these for work and they are by far the best boot I’ve worn.

In my experience, I had no hot spots and from day one they have worn like a pair of sneakers.

Also, they seem to me to have a smaller profile than most boots I’ve been issued, opposed to most issue boots I’ve had, which always seem like bulky clown shoes.

Mine have been used in the field, but are now used as a flight boots.

I’ve had these for about a year and half, 7 mo. of which I spent in Saudi. The’re some of the best boots I’ve ever had. Light, good traction and longevity. The only complaint that I have about them was the laces. They came with the cheapy bx type. Replace those and you’ll be gtg.

I’ve had my green S2Vs for about 2 years or so now. I had a few hot spots on the front near the bend, but once they broke in… great boots. I’ll gladly buy another pair (or hopefully get issued them this time).

My only complaint is aircraft specific, as the boot is wider than my old boots. I usually place my foot in between two buttons on the aircraft floor and the S2V boots are too wide to place my foot in the same location. A minor inconvenience.

Yeah besides the two negatives I love them they are like sneakers and if your job doesnt require steel or safty toe they are great have heard some of the load toads here that have the composit toed ones say they stain too. But they are great for the price better then the Oakleys and Convers ones I had.

I have a pair I use for the field and enjoy them alot. It took a good 2 weeks of field wear to break them in though. I got hotspot/blisters on my upper ankle from where the seam rubbed the first week but those are gone. I experinced pain from the edge of the footcup digging into the side of my foot but after 2 weeks of wear they are my most comfortable boots. I have done two 16 mile ruck marches with them and my feet were fine both times. I’d recomend them to anyone but just be aware about the break in time

I’v been getting these issued for over a year now. Best Military boot I’ve used

I’m considering buying a pair of these. Does anyone know if they can be resoled?

I’ve had a pair of the sage green for about 1.5yrs and I really like them. Light and comfortable with little to no break in. I replaced the laces with 550 cord. only negative I have is one of the drainage grommets fell off about 3-4 months after I got them and I emailed Rocky and they did nothing.

I have to say I was a little disappointed. and I did not help my cause as I bought them from Botach (They really did have a smokin good deal) and Rocky told me to go back to where I bought them from. (Which I decided not to even attempt). So lesson learned.

I would not mind getting a pair of tan. Where is the great deal you found them at???

IM sent.

Two weeks ago an online vendor was having a %15 off sale. That put the price of the Danner TFX Rough Out GTX boot at $109. They are wonderful. I do IT for a manufacturing environment and these concrete floors were killing me. My ankle has quit hurting, these are great.

+1 on the Danner TFX’s!

I love mine, I’ve had them for almost a year and I have a lot of miles on them and they are holding up great. The only thing I wish was that they breathed a little better than they do, but I sweat easily.

Great choice and awesome price, I got mine for $124 at the PX.
