question on mounting mrd canted

I’m planning to install a mini red dot on my rifle, my question is where do you think is the better position to mount this when using it canted? A low mount thats along the lines of the handguard like the matt burkett mount or the SAR which mounts on the scope body?

what do you think works better without having you to move your cheekweld when canting the rifle?

The optic if very fast if you use it out on the handguard/rail. I use a Aimpoint H1 this way on my 3gun rifle sighted in for 15yds POA/POI so I don’t have to worry about the 2.5" hold over, just roll the rifle and blast away.
