I recently bought a like new ITT PVS-14 and was testing it out over the weekend. With the NOD powered on, I held it fully vertical, looking up at the ceiling and it automatically shut off. Is this normal?
Conjointly, I have it set up in a Norotos TATM mount with the dual dovetail adapter, and PVS-14 does not automatically shut off when flipped in the up position. 
Any ideas?
