I am a HS wrestling Coach and retired 19D. One of my former wrestlers Collin Schockmel was killed in action in Iraq on Tuesday. Collin had a very bad family life and as soon as he was 18 he dropped out of school and got his GED. He asked me to write a reference letter for him to enter the army. He was killed on the first day of his second tour.
Rest in Peace, Collin.

We laid Collin to rest today. It was nice to see his family together in love for him. One of his unit sergeants was there and he explained to me the ambush. They were coming in to the Base Camp and hit. My best bet is the avenue of approach to the base camp is restricted and he said the Collin was the target. He died fighting and is a true American warrior. Love you Collin, Coach.
