Yup, tried to get my brother in on it. Didn’t work.
I don’t know why everyone prefers the Sordins. It is much easier to change the batteries on my Pelter Comtac IIs and performance seems to be the same.
^ Hey, I don’t know of anyone today, but who knows about tomorrow! ![]()
These look decent but I can’t find any specs on them? Like the cutoff time or nrr?
22NRR.
Missed it. Both coupons have expired…blah
Congrats to those that got them.
Keep me in mind then just in case. ![]()
I think I read somewhere that the auto turn-off time was 2hrs. Not sure on the other.
Coupon no longer works… Thanks for the heads up though!
I picked mine up today. Quality seems decent especially for the price.
My only knock is that following the initial noise suppression the time it takes to return to normal amplified hearing seems unusually delayed until it fades back in.
There’s a knob to adjust that I believe.
Hmmm. I’ll have look it over again. I’m pretty sure there is only one knob, for volume.
Thanks very much. I picked up a set today as well.
ETA: So, if you see someone wearing a set of these you can be pretty much assured they visit M4C! ![]()
Picked them up today. Thanks again OP
Couple of things at play here. These have the variable suppression which works well for echoes and kind of has a fading out effect on noise suppression. It’s much more evident indoors and when the volume is turned up higher than it needs to be for a specific room.
Plus they are compression type if I’m not mistaken which means the release time (time it takes for a compressed signal to return to normal) is going to be much longer than the attack time (time it takes to initially compress the signal). Much longer being relative to the extremely quick attack time needed in this case to protect hearing.
Just tried to use it and the promo code is now apparently dead.
You can still get $5 off $25 or more purchase if you sign yp for txt msg alerts. Has to be in-store register purchase though… Picking mine up today. Still a deal at $45.
Are these better than howard leight impact?
Picked mine up from the store yesterday. I ordered in time to get the $10 off.
Tried them out this morning. I was pleased with the amplification level. I only shoot at outdoor ranges, so these should work nicely.
Thanks for the heads up.
I have the Impacts and they (3M Peltor’s) are definitely a better fit. I’m planning on going to the range on Friday, I’ll report back. I picked mine up from HD yesterday… thanks OP for the deal!
I just went by a depot today and they had them for 49. I get a 10% military discount so they were 45 each.
