Parts Boxs???

I am planning on to start myself a AR15 Parts Boxs and would like to see some others boxs like, Stickman’s box and would like to know where do you get parts from besides BCM stuff and Brownells? I would like to see some photos and how you keep in ordernize?

I just went to the HD or Lowes and picked up one of their generic, multi compartment boxes and started loading it (organized) with all the crap I had in zip lock bags.

I bought Flambeau fishing tackle boxes at Wal-Mart or Bass Pro, they have Zerust in the divider tabs. That stuff emits a vapor corrosion inhibitor, so I don’t worry about parts in storage in Kentucky’s high humidity. Cheap, too, abou $3 each.

What does Stickman have?

I feel bad, someone sent me an IM, and I cleared it out without having found the picture. Here it the layout I use when I’m out and about in the field / teaching classes. Otherwise, it makes for a great grab and go parts box.

Walmart has a good one as well. It is red with a clear type plastic lid.

Stick, that one is just about the perfect size and layout. Do you know what make and model box it is and where you got it? It looks like it may be a Plano.

Stick, you should sell these fully stocked with optional components/quantities.
If you decide to , put me down for one!

I spy a couple accu wedges!

I was being polite by not mentioning that observation - the elephant in the room and all that.

Looks like that box will get the job done!

Now I’m motivated to finally get my parts bin organized.

I’m off to steal the wife’s label maker now…

i think that box is actually a double decker as well if you look closer

Looks like a plano and a double decker correct.

My box is similar to Stick’s but smaller and with (generally) only doubles of each part.

I live about fifteen minutes from the Plano Molding factory outlet store. I’ll have to take a sleaze over and see what they have.

One thing’s for sure - I’m sick of the big cardboard box full of parts in baggies method I use now.

In my last build 1/2 of my parts come from G&RTactical and I have nothing but good things to say about the team over there. I ordered the weak before Thanksgiving and I got my order in 2-3 days, I had a question about the order the day before Thanksgiving day, and was still able to reach Grant @ G&RTac, if that is not great service what is? I would recommend them to anybody!

For any of us who us a glucometer the little vials that the strips come in are the perfect size for all the little springs and pins for an AR. They are the same size a the old Kodak film canisters, an 1 1/2" label will wrap around and give you a large field to write on.

I’m using a Plano 15-52 compartment double decker Model #5231.

Hey, Stick - I’m not finding any boxes laid out as nicely as yours. What make and model is it?
