I’m a cheap bastard but I also like refacing targets regularly enough to keep accountability. To that end, I’m on the hunt for regulation C-zone repair centers. I’ve used the product from Target Barn for years and it’s great with a little spray glue but it doesn’t have a head box. The STKY targets are cool but I’m looking for something without adhesive to keep costs as low as possible. Any suggestions?
For USPSA targets, I just use pasting dots/squares, or tear off masking tape. I don’t repair the A-zone, in my personal use. I know that doesn’t exactly answer your question, but something to think about.
There is label sticker sheet paper meant to be run through printers. Sorry; I don’t know the proper name. Anyway, they come in different size stickers. I have a bunch of the index-card sized ones, some of which I’ve spraypainted. I use these to make target zones similar to USPSA head A-zone for shooting Langdon’s FAST drills.
I was wanting a peel and stick sheet to eliminate the pasters, but to the original point, it’d cost almost as much as a new target.
We paste the A zones because we’re always fighting the low A zone shots that we want to see higher in the A zone.
