Optima versus Dr Optic

I have two Dr Optics’s and an Optima.

Anyway the Dr is a 7MOA MilSpec version versus the 3.5MOA Optima (I cant tell the different)

Dr has Glass and a polarized face - battery life?
(they say a year for the Dr but its supposed to be better than the Optima and that has been running since 2002 inc two trips to Afghan one on a 870 and once as a CQB sight on a sniper rig)

I wished Mark made his iron dot as a stripped unit for a Dr…

but one is going on a TA31 and one for a 34mm S&B on my AR10

It not much of a review – since I have not had a time to shoot the Dr’s or see if they keep a zero.

Kevin,
im running the 5?moa dot DR optic in an SPR mount with about 4K rounds throught it with frequent removal and it has held zero FYI. I dont know how the adjustments track yet because it was dead nuts on with M855 when i zeroed her.

Before HTPO crushed our jewells, a bro here ran his optima on a RCO ACOG and it was a sweet setup, no issues over 4 months and around 7K rounds

Had some Fing range pics somewhere but i cant find them in all the porn i have downloaded in the last few weeks. You staying in the free world for a while?

Kev,

I just bought a Optima to mount on my TA-31 when I was home. I didn’t really get a chance to finger fuck it too much. Let me know how that setup works for you. I’m interested to find out.

G – I ran an Optima ontop of a TA01NSN in 2002 – plus I had an Optima on our team shotgun and on a ARMS #35 TRR.

The Dr is a much more solid(er?) action

I have owned an optima and it ran for awhile and then broke. The latest revision of them is the JPoint (which I have broken as well).

The Dr to me is much more rugged and durable.
