Thanks for this thread. I’m running the fixed 4x and considering going to a LPVO on my 16”. I’ll either stick with the acog or or rethink my heavy centurion rail.

Nx8, 1-8. 1.70" C1 mount

Optic: Primary Arms SLx8 1-8x24mm SFP Rifle Scope - Illuminated ACSS-5.56/5.45/.308

Combined Weight: 1 lb 8.7oz

Kahles 1-6x24i + Scalarworks LEAP 1.93" Mount + Aadland scope caps = 1lb 8.8oz

I generally find that Leupold has the lightest optics for a given capability.

That is true, I’ve noticed that as well. And often wondered, what are they leaving out? :slight_smile:

Leupold FX-II Ultralight 2.5x20mm in Daniel Defense Mount - 12.0 ounces

Aimpoint Comp M2 in a Scalarworks LEAP mount= 10.4 oz. That’s the nekkid Aimpoint, no bikini cover or flip up lens covers.

New concept model March-F 1-10×24 FFP Shorty Scope, 17.18 oz’s and the Scalarworks 30mm 1.57" H, Leap scopemount, 5.62oz = 22.80 oz’s .

The MARCH 1-10 is nutzzz…too bad it’s concept only at this point…

I mounted a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44 scope on a bolt rifle today, so I popped it on the scale. Including Vortex Defender scope caps and 30mm Vortex Pro rings the scope weights 22 ounces.

Swapped my Aero SPR mount for a LaRue CAN.

Aero=3.5oz
CAN=7.3oz
PA 1-6 ACSS Gen3 with CAN=1lb 8.5oz
