Opinions of Laser Devices BLAST 2 LED light/laser?

Am seeking opinions of folks who have experience with the Laser Devices BLAST 2 LED light/laser combination, and with LD’s Remote Cable Pressure Pad Switch (appears to be similar to Surefire DG series). Have searched here for “BLAST 2” and “Laser Devices” but found nothing on the BLAST 2 specifically. Need info on reliability, durability, user friendliness, quirks, etc. Would the laser be bright enough to be easily seen while simultaneously using that 150 lumen LED on the BLAST 2?

Am considering it as a replacement for a Surefire X200B currently on wife’s 3rd gen G19 home defense gun. She wants to add a visible laser and wants to retain a weapon-mounted light as well (preferably LED). She also wants to be able to activate the light and/or laser with a grip switch instead of having to reach forward to use a rocker switch on the body of the light itself. We’re also considering the Surefire X400 (assuming it comes out soon) with DG-11 switch.

Have also looked at retaining the X200B and adding CTC LG-619 but the grip simply becomes too bulky for her. Lasermax Sabre may have the same problem.

Have considered TLR-2 but no option of a remote grip switch will probably prevent her selecting it.

CTC’s new LG-417 would fix the grip bulk problem, but its activation switch is on the front of the grip and that precludes activating a light via a pressure switch on the front of the grip.

Have considered Lasermax guide rod laser but we’re concerned about the gun going inop if the guide rod laser develops a problem.

Thanks in advance.
