Purchased the kit and off to the range this am, with my Gen 3 G17. Using CCI Mini Mag 40gr round nose ammo:

1st first round wasn’t extracted, but was able to remove with my fingernails

2nd round, unable to remove, required removal with cleaning rod

3rd round again it wouldn’t extract, gave up and returned home.

I am using the recommend ammo, per following PDF file

Of course I will call them later today, but wanted to check with your experience using the kit.

Any words of wisdom?

I’ve had an Advantage Arms LE 17 kit for several years and have had very few stoppages with it and certainly nothing like you seem to be experiencing.

Look closely at the chamber area and extractor to see if there are any burrs or other obvious problems. Hopefully a trip back to Advantage can cure your issues.

Like a dummy, I have three mags and only tested one. Prior to calling AA, tomorrow I will test the other two and see if same results.

No obvious problems.

I have the AA LE Kit for the Gen 4 17 and it runs 100% with CCI mini mags and Aguila Super.

Called AA and they wanted me to email them some pictures, that was on the 21st, as of this date & time they haven’t replied to my email.

Waiting for their reply, I read on another forum about spraying the rounds with a lubricant. Therefore this morning I sprayed Ballistol on the rounds prior to loading in the magazine and big as dogPoop it worked. They also specifically state that you MUST use HV ammo, that standard velocity (SV) ammo will not work. They go on to state NOT RECOMMENDED any Win ammo etc. Well this am, spraying PMC 40gr SV & Win M22 40GR HV worked like a champ. Rem Gloden worked without the spraying.

I use nothing but Remington Golden Bullets in my Advantage Arms .22 kits. That always seems to work.

I know that .22 ammo is tough to find now, but if you can get some, then stock up.

LE19/23 and it loves that shitty Remmy round. I feed mine nothing else.

Mine too , even likes Thundebolts and Subsonics.

Anyone use the 15 round magazines for 17/22 kit, if so any issues with hand-grip? The height of 5.850" is higher than my G17 magazine.
