I’ve noticed a lot of times I’ll do a forum search for something and a gazillion EE threads come up and very few actual discussion threads. Is there a way to make the EE threads not come up when searching for information? Or maybe make a separate search function for EE threads for people shopping for merchandise?
Other than that, love the forum.
You can search specific sub-forums as opposed to the whole site.

+1 for this suggestion. Ditto for the ability to optionally exclude EE threads from the New Threads feature. (Or, more generically, to allow you to exclude any sub-forum(s) from a search. But definitely EE.)
Click “advanced search”
Select the “Single Content” tab.
Make all the selections you want using the “Ctrl” key.
— in your case that would be most of the forums and none of the ones marked EE
Notice in the lower left it will say “save search” or can be changed to “clear search” – be sure it set to “save search”
Now the next time you log in and search for say “flashlight”… none of the EE stuff will show up.
No way to name and save searches that I know of. So if you ever want to search only the EE areas, you would have to make a new search.
New post search, excludes GD (60) and EE (108-125) areas. Each subforum has a number that can be excluded from the New Posts function so that you see only the new content you want. There may be an easier way to do the url, but this works for me.
Search: Type: Posts; Excluded Forums: General Discussion, Equipment Exchange, AR Complete Rifles & Lowers (EE), AR Complete Uppers (EE), AR Parts & Furniture (EE), AR Rail Systems & Accessories (EE), AR Magazines (EE), AK Rifles (EE), AK Parts, Accessories & Magazines (EE), All Other Longguns (EE), All Other Longgun Parts, Accessories, & Magazines (EE), Handguns (EE), Handgun Parts, Accessories & Magazines (EE), Optics, Sights & Mounts (EE), Lights & Lasers (EE), Ammunition (EE), Holsters, Gear & Knives (EE), NFA Items (EE), Everything Else (EE); New Posts
