Okay, which one of you ordered a million PMags?

According to the gun review site, “Haus of Guns,” backorders for the Magpul AR-15 30-round magazine (“PMAG”) have surpassed one million.

In a Facebook post dated today, January 9, Haus of Guns writes the following:

“Had breakfast with a buddy who has reasonably close ties to the Magpul family. Word is the great PMAG panic backorder of 2012/13 has topped 1 million at Magpul HQ.”

PMags? Ha! I ordered a million of these instead.

Only one?

Ya suppose those Magpul boys are pulling a little overtime these days?

LOL

What I’m more interested in finding out is what their production rate is.

Well Magpul is doing a good job of getting them out there. I just picked up a few yesterday for $13 each.

So to every asshole wanting more than $16 for a pmag, suck it.

The source information was incorrect. Talking about real numbers on anything with outside elements, even if trusted, without an NDA in place, will get you in severely hot water here, and that figure is not accurate.

Sounds like a weird WWII reference.

I intended this thread to be more humorous than anything. I’m not sure anybody outside the doors of any manufacturer would know the true numbers. I was just trying to illustrate how bad the panic has gotten and inject some lightheartedness into the situation.

Kyle Lamb’s new book?

Sounds…domesticated.

If we guess the correct number do we get free PMAG’s?

It’s all good. The original source is kind of humorous in itself…“over breakfast with my friend who’s uncle’s cousin’s brother-in-law has a friend on the inside…” kind of thing…and it made it to publication.

We’re making mags as fast as we can make them correctly. That’s about the limit of what we’ll say.

Hahaha, love it. Now if they just had a leopard print I could convince my girlfriend I was buying them for her.

Well, sure, and IIRC people say that source is about like Infowars.

I have to admit, I’d love to know the actual industry figures for backorders of everything gun-related. Oh well.

Thanks for being a stand up company sir.

That’s awesome. Thanks a bunch for being such a stand-up company.

One of my biggest worries was that producers would cut quality to meet demand, and I’m glad to see that worry was unfounded with regards to Magpul.

Its not just P-mags.

Have you tried to find Glock 9mm mags lately? SIG 9mm mags?

Just about every mag that holds more than 10 rounds is hardly to be found in the gunstores right now. The local store near me has Wilson 1911 mags and a few Ruger SR40 mags and that is about it.

…man…this really sucks…glad I bought lots of mags earlier! LOL

At least most of the shit we buy is made right here.
